Otto Roberts commits to Creighton

Belleville West righthanded pitcher Otto Roberts has verbally committed to Creighton University.
Roberts, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound senior, was 4-1 last season as a junior with a 2.02 earned-run average for the Maroons, who finished 28-5 and were the Southwestern Conference championships.
In 41 2/3 innings, Roberts allowed 34 hits (no extra base hits), 17 walks and fanned 37 batters. He chose Creighton over the University of Illinois and St. Louis University.
