Clubb impressive in Cape Cod
Eureka grad Tim Clubb was able to carry over his strong season at Missouri State to his pitching for the Brewster Whitecaps of the prestigious Cape Cod League this summer.
The right-handed pitcher, who was the Missouri Valley Conference pitcher of the year this spring as a redshirt sophomore, is among the league leaders in several categories, including wins and earned-run average.

In his blog, Lyndal Scranton of the Springfield News-Leader wrote that Clubb turned down a contract offer from the Tampa Bay Rays and will return to Missouri State for another year. Tampa Bay selected Clubb in the 41st round of this June’s draft.
