Ivy Itching To Show His Talent
For all those Cahokia football doubters, save it _ for the time being.
Even though the Comanches will be without senior quarterback Darien “Doc” Donald possibly for the season with a left knee injury, there is a very capable backup in Patrick Ivy.
Yes the team loses an offensive weapon with Ivy as the signal-caller instead of his normal wide out position, but the 6-foot-4 junior has a better than average arm. He is not quite as quick as Donald, who can either run or pass.
Still, Ivy can run as he showed last Friday night in Cahokia’s 24-3 win at O’Fallon. But it’s his passing ability that raised eyebrows.
Tonight’s nonconference game with Alton will probably give Comanches fans a better barometer on just how good he really can be.
