After rushing for 273 yards in limited duty as a freshman, Rob Standard exploded onto the scene for the 7-4 Red Devils. He rushed for 2,350 yards on 281 carries (8.4 avg.), with 29 touchdowns. In a string of four games late in the season, Standard ran for 325, 468, 217 and 301 yards.
