Raise a glass to “Sex and the City”
Think “Sex and the City,” and think pink.
Cosmopolitans, that is.
I caught a preview of the film at Ronnie’s 20 on Wednesday night, and the audience was giddy with anticipation. And why not? A much-loved television show was hitting the big screen, and in celebration, the theater was selling the pretty-in-pink cocktails in light-up acrylic martini glasses.
(Wehrenberg’s Galaxy 14 in the Chesterfield Valley and St. Charles Stadium 18 theaters also will be selling cosmos during the movie’s run. The cost is $10, $5 for a refill, and ticket buyers will receive a $1-off coupon.)
If you’re hosting a get-together after the movie or simply enjoying reruns of the television show, you might want to make your own Cosmos.
To make the simple syrup called for in the second recipe, simmer together equal amounts of water and granulated sugar until the mixture is clear. Cover and refrigerate until cold. Also, cocktail recipes tend to measure liquid ingredients in ounces, not cups. One ounce equals 2 tablespoons; 2 ounces is 1/4 cup. A typical jigger holds an ounce or an ounce and a half.

“Think “Sex and the City,” and think pink”… How about, think “Trash in the Streets”.
I can’t wait to see how all the young girls whose mothers watched this junk turn out. These women might be heroes to the feminist, but they are trash to men who love real women.
