Here’s a chance to chat with Iron Chef Cat Cora

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

catcora_opt.jpgCat Cora, the Food Network Iron Chef, Bon Appetite magazine executive chef — and Morningstar Farms spokeswoman — will chat live with fans starting at 6:30 p.m. (Central time) on Sept. 10.

Here are the details, as stated in the press release distributed by Morningstar Farms:

Television personality and professional chef Cat Cora and Morningstar Farms® foods have teamed up to help busy families create nutritious, veggie-inspired meals as they get back to routine this fall. On September 10, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Morningstar Farms will host a live 30-minute online “Chat with Cat.” Registration is limited and begins today at seeveggiesdifferently.com.

As Iron Chef America’s first and only female Iron Chef, Cora will share some of her favorite recipes and best tips for keeping meals exciting, despite a hectic routine. Fans will have the opportunity to ask her advice on cooking challenges and hear stories behind her great tasting, nutritious recipes.

“As a working mom, I understand how hard it can be to put a healthy homemade meal on the table,” Cora said. “Morningstar Farms and I have come up with some easy ways to make eating well more manageable for the home cook. I want families to understand that good food doesn’t require hours in the kitchen.”

All “Chat with Cat” participants must register online at seeveggiesdifferently.com, where they can also find Cora’s favorite vegetarian recipes. Learn more about Cat at www.catcoracooks.com.

I’m looking for a candy apple recipe….this particular one is very, very old. They were made at Christmas time circa 1950. They were candy apple red–not cinnamon but looked that way (red dye maybe?). However they tasted like peppermint and chewy like caramel, but did not taste like caramel….the finished product did look like a red cinnamon candy apple!
Since it is getting close to the “Halloween Season” I thought you might just have something in your recipe files on this. Thanks for your help.
