Contest is searching for America’s favorite farmers markets

America has a lot of farmers markets. I wouldn’t trust any number given as fact, because markets are popping up weekly if not daily. (For a listing of local markets, click here.)

That said, American Farmland Trust is launching a contest to identify America’s favorite small, medium and large farmers markets. Market managers can sign up for the competition at www.farmland.org/marketmanager. Voting starts in June. The winners, to be announced during Farmers’ Market Week Aug. 2-8, will get … a shipment of No Farms No Food® tote bags.
