The challenge crisis!!
I have lost 13 pounds. My blood sugar levels had dropped. I am walking more now. I am feeling better. The problem is I have not lost any weight these past two weeks. I am still determined to lose another 37 pounds. Work has been very busy. I walk each morning at work, now. I need to step it up.
I must take this to a higher level. I must cut back my food portions more. I must be more aware of what I eat. I am still highly motivated. My pants have become too big. That is a nice feeling!
I need to work pass this plateau. I had night sweats (an effect of diabtes) much more often than I do now. That is another great feeling.
I have made progress. I feel a sort of mid challenge crisis. I am at a stalemate. I need to push myself to work pass this plateau.

Here’s a mantra for you: "I survived Vietnam; I can meet this challenge." That’s Smith talking. His ankle was permanently damaged during combat. Now he wants to lose 50 pounds and get his blood sugar levels under control so he can be around long enough to watch his three young grandchildren grow up. "I thought this (Healthy & Fit Challenge) would put me out in the open," he says. "And I have the feeling that if I fail this time, I’d let not only myself down but the readers."
