Hanging in There
Well, I have been crazy busy with work and family, with less and less time for my daily routine. My last conversation with my cousin she recommended a meal schedule to get me jump started again on my weight challenge. Sad to say I have not spoken with her in a week. I guess it’s avoidance because I don’t have good news to share with her right now. When Cindy was checked in with with Monday, clicked that another 4 weeks has gone by. So that evening I took the plunge and weighed myself. I knew it wasn’t good. I gained 3 pounds. So now I’m down 10lbs.
Lately everywhere I go and the articles I read focus on living a healthier life style and work and home balance. I hear the message but struggle with consistenency. I read Robert’s blog this evening about increasing his activity. The key to continue weight loss is always taking the next challenge to step it up a notch and the commitment.
I started out this week on the right track. I started back writing everything down in my journal that I eat during the day. The weather has been gorgeous the past (2) evenings so I got a nice walk in, along with the elliptical. My next step this week is to increase the time on the elliptical to 40 minutes. So I’ll check back in a couple of weeks to let you know what’s up. Don’t give up on me. I’m coming back.

Deborah Miller spent the past decade raising two sons, getting a bachelor’s degree and caring for her mother who has dementia. She was busy and stressed out. She gained more than 100 pounds. She's come up with ideas on how to get the weight off. First: Substitute junk food with wheat snacks and limit sugar intake. Two: Start an exercise regimen. "I prefer to walk, and I’m looking into roller skating," she says. "My husband suggested it, so I’ll start skating on Saturday mornings."
Don’t get discouraged. You’ll get there.
