No Depression mag calls it quits

 The publication that covered the Americana landscape, No Depression is calling it quits.

Citing rising costs and lack of print ads, the magazine is folding with it’s 75th issue for the May/June issue.

No Depression took its name from the title of Uncle Tupelo’s 1990 album that is cited as starting the alt-country movement.

The magazine will continue as an online zine at their website.

It was also reported today that New York’s TVT Records, the label that brought us Nine Inch Nails, has shut down.
