Fleet Foxes will open for Death Cab at Fox

Seattle quintet Fleet Foxes, currently opening for Wilco for a few dates out west, has added St. Louis to their schedule — or rather Death Cab for Cutie will bring them here. The Foxes, who released one of the year’s more critically-acclaimed albums (s/t), are part of indie rock’s flower children revival with delicate acoustic guitar picking, choral harmonies and large heapings of nature references.

This Fall, the band will begin work on another record, which they plan to release in the Fall of 2009, according to their MySpace page.
