cb.jpgA satellite branch of Cleveland’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will open in New York City in November, according to NME.com. The branch will be located in SoHo.

Memorabilia will include a phone booth from CBGB and Bruce Springsteen’s first car, a 1957 Chevy Convertible. Interactive maps will show visitors the various venues past and present that define New York pop music, from Studio 54 to Hotel Chelsea where Lennon went down.

“There really isn’t a more fitting spot for this museum than New York, the home town of Hall of Famers like the Velvet Underground, Paul Simon, and Blondie,” New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said.

Hey, since we have our own CBGB, does that mean we get one too?
