Photos: Dynamites featuring Charles Walker at Gramophone

After the David Byrne show on Saturday we stumbled upon an absotively hoppin’ show at the Gramophone. Nashville’s Dynamites featuring Charles Walker played deep-South funk before a sweaty packed crowd. DJ Doug Morgan provided slick beats before and after the show.
Walker has been performing since the late-1950s and it showed. The groups’ outfits and stage set up was very ‘Mad Men.’ I liked the way the backing band warmed up the crowd with a few instrumentals before bringing Walker on with a glorious introduction.
