Celery came back with a vengeance earlier this month at Maplewood’s Deluxe club, whipping up some mad fun for a packed crowd and throwing the salad fixin’ all over the place.
The local favorites from the 1990s played their genre-bending tunes like they hadn’t missed a beat (except for a few stops and starts.)
The quartet will remain on the comeback trail with two shows this week. Tonight they open at the Gold Tooth CD Release Party at the Bluebird (2706 Olive Street) and Thanksgiving night they open for Fragile Porcelain Mice at the Lucas School House (1220 Allen Ave., Soulard). You can also catch them on Saturday, Dec. 20 at the Kennedy’s reunion jam at the Old Rock House.
