Washington University’s Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum kicks off a nice looking concert series to usher us into Spring.

The first of the free shows is tomorrow (Friday) featuring the hard-working Americana band Theodore.

The four-piece, named best alt country band last year by the RFT, plays roots music with a smattering of Trombone and accordion.

Attendees are encouraged to bring unopened jars of peanut butter or jelly and a suggested donation of $5 at the door to benefit LiveFeed and City Faces.

Heck, the Kemper even has a YouTube page filled with videos of musicians in the series.

Kemper Presents: Theodore

6 to 8 pm Friday

Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, One Brookings Drive

Fridays, February 27 to April 24

I attended this last year and enjoyed it! I attempted to swing dance to The WooDaddies, who were fun and entertaining. They also had free beer, which was great way to start out my Friday evening out. I’ll be back again this season…with my dancing shoes on this time :-)
