U2 never used a dash in their name and the band was already five years old when they first played here in 1981. Perhaps Lasswell figured they were named after the military plane. This review is dated April 8, 1981.

I saw U2 on ‘The Unforgettable Fire’ tour and still count it (along with Genesis) as one of the best live concerts of my life. Bono pulled a kid onstage to play guitar with the band and all the lights went down except a lone spotlight on him. What Supergroup would do that today?
