St. Louis County man charged with transmitting HIV
ST. LOUIS COUNTY — A man from Northwoods didn’t warn a sex partner he is HIV positive and infected her with the virus that causes AIDS, according to charges filed in St. Louis County Circuit Court.
Orlando A. Hadley
Prosecutors charged Orlando A. Hadley, 40, of the 3800 block of Lawler Drive, on Monday with six counts of recklessly risking infection of another with HIV. Hadley is held in lieu of $200,000 cash-only bond.
Police said the charges were issued against Hadley because he had numerous sexual encounters with a woman without telling her of his status. The victim later found out that she is HIV positive.
Police asked that anyone who had sexual contact with Hadley since February 2009 call detectives at 314-889-2341.
If anyone has had sexual contact with Orlando Hadley since February 2009, they are asked to contact the St. Louis County Bureau of Crimes Against Persons or call the main number at 889-2341.

Not trying to be cold hearted, but what do you expect when you don’t protect yourself? Yes, he is totally disgusting, but she is at fault too. She has to be responsible for her own sexual health..you can’t rely on someone else.
One fine reason to keep sexual intercourse within the sanctity of marriage. I have been married for 49 years this November and NEITHER of us has ever contracted an STD of any kind. I wonder why that is, hmmmmm!

This guy does have a mother and children. He lived with his mother, who he never told that he was HIV positive. She is a good loving mother and of course she is hurt. Please people try to keep your comments civil. The family is really hurting because not only because of what he did, but the fact that he lived in the household with them and never told them. They had no idea. He endangered his entire family.
Please people, let’s be a little civil. This man is the worse kind of animal. He does have a mother and kids too. He lived with his mother, who is a good hard working mother that deserved better than this. He never told his family that he is HIV positive, so they probably did not take the necessary precautions. No family deserve that. He deserves whatever happens to him. His family on the other hand has done nothing to deserve this. Those of you with a heart, please pray for his mother. She deserve better than this.
yes, in some jurisdictions it is illegal to transmit a non-lethal STI. However, the mitigating factor in those cases is whether or not the transmitter knew that they had the disease. However, I’m not sure if MO has a statute for the sole purpose of addressing this.
Why aren’t they going after that person that gave HIV to him?
Anyone who would have sex with someone, protected or not, knowing they have HIV and not tell the other person should be treated as a murderer. This woman is going to eventually DIE from the disease that this low-life gave her. The woman is not to blame for this at all. Nobody that I know personally has looked at the HIV test result papers of every person they have had sex with. Even if they had used a condom, they aren’t foolproof either. This man is a disgusting, selfish individual who obviously doesn’t care about anyone or anything.
