Two charged in converter thefts in Granite City
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
GRANITE CITY - Two Granite City residents face felony theft charges for allegedly stealing catalytic converters from 14 different vehicles between Oct. 9 and Thursday.
Madison County prosecutors filed the charges Friday against Christina Lynn Underwood, 34, of the 2600 block of East 27th Street and Tyler Joseph Jesse Stockton, 24, of the 100 block of Tennessee Avenue.

Stealing those catalytic converters equals some big money. When I would do report corrections people would park a new vehicle go to like the nail salon or do lunch and be out within a reasonable amount of time and gone. Airbags is another one Glad they got caught.
With the plummeted price of secondary metals, I am surprised anyone would be doing this right now…but yeah, we are talking Granite City here.
