Jobless rate in St. Louis region up slightly

St. Louis sees slight boost in hiring; overall jobless rate unchanged

Employers in the St. Louis Metropolitan area added 3,400 jobs in July while the overall employment rate for the region — adjusted by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis to account for seasonal jobs — remained unchanged at 9.32 percent.

Feds say St. Louis metro unemployment rose again in May

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

The Bureau of Labor Statistics, out with its monthly unemployment report, says the jobless rate in metropolitan St. Louis jumped from 8 percent in April to 9 percent in May.

The rate is not adjusted for seasonal employment, such as construction jobs.
