All-American Apparel

An American flag color palette worn head to toe is usually a fashion no-no, but what the heck; tis the season. While ScholarShopping, this patriotic ensemble seemed to nab a certain amount of attention, but I say it was executed with panache. Besides, pair of cuffed, red corduroys is just a good idea.
What are you wearing? Um, I’m wearing red, corduroy pants, white loafers with no socks and a jersey. I think everything is from either [ScholarShop] or Rag-O-Rama. Most of my clothes come from there.
What’s on your iPod? I actually don’t have one.
Ok, so what do you listen too? Well, I listen to a lot of jazz, especially from Kansas City. I have a few CD’s from there.
What do you look for when you are vintage shopping? Well, I look for button down shirts that are just nice, basic stripes, solid color pants and shoes that I can wear comfortably.

I am entering my senior year at Webster University where I have created a self-designed interdisciplinary major in fashion journalism. This summer I am interning for the features section of the Post-Dispatch and a majority of my work can be found in the Saturday Lifestyle section of the paper. You can also see some of my styling in the quarterly LUXE publication.
