How do you feel about the results of Tuesday’s elections?

Claire McCaskill is in. Rod Blagojevich is in. In the House of Representatives, the Democrats are in.

Stems cell research is in. The tobacco tax is out. The minimimum wage is up. Most school taxes or bond issues are in. We’ve got the most up-to-date results over here.

But while you’re here, tell us: How do you feel about the results?

I feel very depressed about Amendment 2. God help us all.

Best of Luck to the Dems, lets see if you can do what you promise which is making everyone in the US Safe and Secure and save lives with Stem Cells. Republicans in 08.

The sun shines brightly on a new day full of hope. The country’s future looks better already. Sanity and goodwill prevailed.

It was a very close race for the Missouri senate job………Talent had McCaskill beat when I went to bed last night…..seems like Claire pulled it out.

I am somewhat amazed at the way the house vote went across the country:

Nice quilt, ehh? How did the Dakotas get so Democratic? I would like to make a 2006 civil war game out of this scenario….imagine the chaos…..

I’m glad the stem cell research amendment passed, so now we can clone people for sex toys and People’s Front Battalions to the utter shock of conservatives………I don’t really care too much about the cigarette tax (I don’t smoke tobacco) and minimum wage (I make a lot more than that, and the wage should be a lot higher regardless) issues.

Very happy, and frankly quite surprised. I got three out of four of my top wish list: Prop 2 and Claire won, and the minimum wage increase passed by a 3 to 1 margin, no less. I can almost stop being ashamed of my state. We lost on Prop 3, but this is, after all — Missouri. Can’t expect miracles - (we certainly wouldn’t want to curtail our 14 year-olds’ smoking and chewing habits).

The Dems got lucky by negative association. This election is a nationwide repudiation of the ethically bankrupt, inept and bumbling George Bush agenda - particularly his pet war. No presidential coattails extended to his boys nationwide. Sorry, George.

And what may be most important, the U.S. House of Representatives is now controlled by Democrats. It’s too much to hope for in the races in Montana and Virginia, to get control of the Senate as well. We’ll likely have to wait until 2008 for that. Then, after the Dems get control of the Senate and the White house in two more years, we’ll really see some progress.

It’s about time. Missouri — for a change, you did it right.

I’m happy about Amendment 2. God help those who don’t ‘get it.’

I expect my taxes to go up and to lose my conceal carry permit.

Regarding the comment of

“We lost on Prop 3, but this is, after all — Missouri. Can’t expect miracles - (we certainly wouldn’t want to curtail our 14 year-olds’ smoking and chewing habits). ”

PERHAPS YOU SHOULD SPEND LESS TIME WORRYING ABOUT TAXES AND SPEND MORE TIME WATCHING YOUR KIDS.

Sorry, Mikey. I don’t have any kids. And anyone who does who voted against Prop 3 is either uncaring, uninformed, a hopelessly addictied smoker, has a room temperature IQ, or some combination of the above.

Hey, AJ. Right on. I hope my taxes DO go up, if they go somewhere besides to big business or the military, and I certainly wish EVERYONE would lose their concealed carry permit!

Tennessee

Why would you vote for targeted taxes? If you are so educated you would understand that education would be so much more effective in quelling smoking than targeted taxation. It was a bad law and fortunately enough people recognized that.
