For those who think Governor Palin was full of facts they should go to fact-check.

Fixed.

I find it absolutely terrifying that some people are actually buying the crap Palin is peddling. She is no more qualified to be VP [or God forbid, President] of the US than Mickey Mouse. She has no real experience, dodges all of the real questions, and is basically an idiot. It scares me to death to think of that woman being one heartbeat away from being the leader of the free world. What are people thinking? Or are they thinking???

The next question that Palin answers from last night’s debate will be the first one she answers. That whole “aw shucks” type of stuff is what we have been dealing with for the last 8 years, and why we are in the state that we are today.

She comes off as someone who should be nothing more than the president of the local pta, and that’s probably a stretch.

Although I thought Palin handled herself well, the cheerleader routine worn thin with me. Biden actually addressed more issues where Palin seemed to just talk more. JMO

I thought it was dead even. The Palin is an idiot theme is way out of line. As far as the moderator, she had to be careful not to show bias for the BHO/Biden ticket. She also did very well.

What’s so stupid about “warm” and “mean”? Simplistic, sure. I don’t know about stupid.

I look at the debates like a job interview. Not “Dancing with the Stars”. While presentation, style points, and attitude are all worthy of consideration, what’s most important to me is who better articulates the problems that need to be fixed, and how they and their running mate intend to fix them. That’s why Biden proved he is much better prepared and qualified for the job. Winks, a cute smile, and a perky attitude don’t hurt, but in the end Palin’s case wasn’t convincing enough.

Now, disregarding their political stances and talking points, here’s my overall impression.

Palin: Positive, confident, well-spoken, a nice woman, and a good politician.

Biden: Strong, commanding, passionate, experienced, opinionated, a true statesman and an honest “Joe”.

Biden gets the job…

I’ve read countless entries attacking the lack of experience and qualifications of Governor Palin. To those individuals, Please enlighten me with the career accomplishments and political prowess that qualify Barack Obama to lead our nation. It seems that many of you are buying into his teleprompter lead, self-professions as a conduit of change, instead of realizing that he is the least qualified presidential candidate in history.

I’ll readily admit that in the grand scheme of things, Barack Obama doesn’t have a lot of what most people consider applicable experience to be the President.

That being said, I don’t think there’s really any job that gives anyone adequate experience to be President. Sure, there are jobs that help, as far as knowing how the Legislature works, or how to run a state, but in the end those are just pieces of the puzzle.

People tend to look at experience as a number, as in, “Obama only has 2 years in the Senate” or “McCain has been in public office for 26 years”. The fact of the matter is that those are just numbers. Let me put it this way. Let’s say I’ve spent 10 years attending a University. Now, I might point to that and say I have a lot of higher-level education, but if I spent the whole time partying and drinking, and that’s why I was there for so long, then it’s irrelevant, isn’t it? What experience really is is what’s been learned in that time. I’m not saying that Obama has learned more in 2 years in the Senate than McCain has in 26, I’m just saying that experience is a moot argument.

The reason people keep bringing up Sarah Palin’s experience as an issue is because it shows that McCain himself doesn’t put too much stock in the argument himself. His attacking Obama’s lack of experience while choosing someone who lacks experience on a national level shows his hypocrisy.

Sure, she’s got the executive leadership, but if you look closer, you’ll notice she left her previously debt-free city wallowing in millions of dollars in debt. And, in the two years she has been Governor of Alaska, the money has been absolutely flowing into that state because of oil revenues, which I would imagine makes Alaska a pretty easy state to run, on the whole. I’m not attempting to diminish her accomplishments, just pointing out that the United States as a country is a completely different beast than Alaska.

Also, if you did some research, you learn that Barack Obama is not the least qualified presidential candidate in history. Continuing your experience=years analogy, Barack Obama has 2 years in the Senate and 7 years in the State Legislature. Woodrow Wilson only had two years as a Governor before being elected. You know him, right? The guy who got us through World War I. Theodore Roosevelt only spent 2 years as a Governor, 2 years in the State Legislature, and half a year as a VP. Surely you’ve heard of him, right? What about Abraham Lincoln? 2 years in the House and 8 years in the State Legislature, not too much more than Barack Obama. How was he as a President? Not too shabby, right?
