Biden’s a seasoned professional. He’d be a credit to the presidency. Palin didn’t melt under the spotlight but she is dangerously inexperienced and obviously out of her depth. We had friends over and Biden made my friend’s wife cry. Very sincere. Very effective. No contest.

Palin could not have done any better. She was shallow, didn’t answer questions, repeated talking points, and convinced me she is trying to hide her immense ignorance of politics.

Biden won.

Palin showed the country what a real person with character and integrity looks like. Great job!

Sarah refused to answer questions, and in fact brazenly informed the moderator and the American people that she wasn’t going to do so. She clearly had her scripted same old talking points….and she was determined to repeat them. I have heard them so many times, I was able to chant them right along with her. Nothing new…..I am not impressed. Earth to Sarah…..the debates were for the American people. We would have appreciated it if you had answered the questions.

Thank God we only have one more month of this McPalin duo.

I don’t get it. Everyone says “Oh Palin did SO much better than everyone expected!” I’ll concede that she didn’t make a complete idiot out of herself like some people said they would, but that’s just my point! The expectations were so incredibly low for her in this debate that she would have had to show up drunk in order to NOT exceed them! I look at it this way… If a student has an average grade in class of 30% and gets a 60% on the exam you could say that they exceeded expectations, but it’s still an F in the overall scheme of things.

I thought Sarah could have been a lot more focused on the Congress’s role in this wall street melt down. We pay wallstreet to be greedy for us….we pay congress to serve us.

Biden was obviously making up votes and stats to suit his argument. He at one point argued for a surge in Afganistan and then argued that a surge was not a viable option according to the General in charge…wasn’t called on any of this by Sarah or Gwen Obama.

She sure doesn’t come across as very educated, especially in areas of foreigh arrairs and constitutional law. I believe these are the two most important areas our chief executive needs to know. When the Gov. suggested expanding the congressional authority of the Vice President, that was without a doubt the last straw. We have had to deal with Dick Chenny the last 8 years, bullying and interperting the power of the executive branch in ways that should have gotten him impeached if not indicted. My vote is now going to Obama. How can we risk putting this candidate one heartbeat from the nukes.

I don’t understand this. I will concede that Palin exceeded expectations tonight but, that’s the thing that baffles me. You see, expectations were so LOW for her tonight that she would have had to show up drunk NOT to surpass them. I look at it this way… Let’s say a student in class has an average grade of 30%. Then they make a 60% on a test, doubling their average and exceeding expectations. That student’s still a FAILURE.

Imagine giving students a test, and they pass because they fill the page. They answered ; that’s not debatable. But did they answer the question? NO. That’s exactly Palin’s stance tonight. she did answer but not the question. There was no substance. All she stated were rehearsed statements irrelevant to questions. Are we so desperate that we have no rigor, no high expectations, for our students..oops sorry Vice president.Heaven helps us.Imagine being happy that someone running for vice president was able to spit rehearsed irrelevant statement
and we call that “holding her own”. No basic knowledge. No answers. No substance. Answers to something else.

Question 1: What is the Capital of Missouri? Governer your answer please….
I believe we need to drill more oil wells and produce more oil to become less dependent on foreign oil, and John McCain talked about oil 3 years ago and if we had listened to him, we would have more oil……
What happened? did she get her note cards out of order? I teach school to 8th graders. If this was an oral exam, she failed. What does she think we are, stupid?
