Will U.S. troops withdrawal worsen conditions in Iraq?
As U.S. troops partially pulled out of Iraq late Monday, Iraqis marked June 30 as a day for celebration.
According to Fox News, Iraq officially took control of its fate as the United States handed over security responsibilities to Iraqi forces.
The dangers facing Iraq were brought into stark focus Monday as U.S. military officials reported that four American soldiers were killed in combat on the eve of the withdrawal.
About 130,000 troops, however, will still be in Iraq. The withdrawal is just part of a U.S.-Iraqi security pact and marks the first major step toward withdrawing all American forces from the country by Dec. 31, 2011. But could it be too soon?
Describing June 30 as a “glorious page” in Iraq’s history, Iraq President Jalal Talabani warned that “security will not be achieved completely without proper political environment and without a real national unity and reconciliation.”
U.S. troops were often given the credit for keeping the peace in Iraq. Now that some are gone what do you expect will happen? Will bombings and violence increase? Will Iraqis be able to control their own security?

Who is Zed?
It is my opinion that as soon as we leave this place will collapse like the proverbial house of cards. I wouldn’t wanna be one of the troops left behind as “advisers” for anything. The Iraqi troops are probably sweating bullets right now. For an honest appraisal of their “readiness” ask the grunts around them, not some politician/general who is obliged to put the rosiest face on the situation.

How many have you talked to slamfist?
Who cares. Pull the troops out. Have a nice day!
These people have scores to settle that go back hundreds of years leading up to 1979 and then some. It’s going to be difficult for U.S. soldiers to watch the people they’ve worked with and trained go through this transition. It’s probably going to be bloody.
Listening to Fox News is the same as Russians listening to Tass and Pravda during the communist regime. It presents right-wing propaganda augmented by the illegal alien owner that paid off some of our illustrious congressional crooks to circumvent the laws against foreigners owning American media companies. Rupert Murdoch is a silver-spoon son of an Austrailian Lord descended from English aristocracy that once governed that country when it was part of the British Empire. The only truth about the current President you’ll get from his fascist media outlets is from some of the hundreds of reporters and news people he fired because they wouldn’t air his hateful vomitous propaganda.
Many real conservatives are shamed by his tainted diatribe but the right-wing fascist hate groups who claim to be conservatives keep right on believing it as if were real. As far as Iraq is concerned, only a dictator will ever control the religious fanatics that have always ruled that country. We should have left them to it but Mr. Texas dingaling Bush didn’t like Hussein because he took a potshot at his goofy old man who didn’t even take it serious. The only terrorists were Husseins troops that kept all the religious cuckoos in line by whacking them if they got too noisy.
Let those worthless maggots take care of themselves. We shouldn’t have spilled one drop of American blood for these heathens.
