Cape fear
Cape Girardeau is beset by a barrage of sinkholes – some the size of a manhole, some almost as long as a school bus. The city, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the state Department of Natural Resources and property owners in the sinkhole zone have convened a task force to try to figure out the cause of the problem.
The Weatherbird has a sinking feeling too.
Some Bird line suggestions:
- The hole story
- It’s the pits
- Drop zone
- In too deep
- Hollowed ground
- Very depressing
And today’s Bird line: Cape Fear
