Changes to Gateway Arch a monumental decision

The National Park Service is thinking about further developing the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial — you know, the Gateway Arch. But there aren’t any solid plans for the 91 acres yet. (Other than the Arch. It will stay there.) Some say a museum would be nice, perhaps restaurants. Others say to leave it alone.

Our unscientific poll on what you think should be done with the area indicates you’re open to development, but we need to set some ground rules first. (The poll is still open — add your vote now.)

Sorry for the blog troubles last night — our blog system was down for awhile, so many of you did not get a chance to vote for today’s Bird line. I’m sure you’ll agree that Monumental decision was a great choice though. We’ll resume Bird line voting on Monday; see you then!

Leave it as it is. It’s wonderful.

If people want to build, do it on top of and west of the sunken highway, and south of the Highway 40 bridge.
