No matter who you voted for, Election Day was historic: America elected its first black president. Many people have high expectations of president-elect Barack Obama. He’s already getting down to business. With 10 weeks until Inauguration Day, Obama is building his cabinet. He has already asked Rham Emanuel to be his chief of staff.

Voting was so much fun yesterday, let’s do it again. This time, for the Weatherbird.

What should the Weatherbird say?

  • Now comes the hard part (45%, 39 Votes)
  • This day in history (21%, 18 Votes)
  • Getting down to business (14%, 12 Votes)
  • Living the dream (10%, 9 Votes)
  • A dream come true (9%, 8 Votes)

Total Voters: 86

The beginning of the 60’s were great, then JFK was slain, I went to Vietnam in May of 1966 and returned in March of 1968. I watched MLK get killed and was watching TVwith a couple of my buddies when Bobby got killed. I was disilusioned and very confused. I have been fighting the 60’s and Vietnam for 40 years. I think Tuesday night brought some closure and as Michelle Obama said I never could have been more proud of my county. I am white, maybe someday that distinction won,t have to be made. After 48 years we have finally passed that torch to a new generation of Americans. Thanks America
