Anheuser-Busch InBev announced today it will lay off 1,400 salaried employees — 75 percent of them in St. Louis — in an effort to cut costs. Another 250 open positions will be eliminated, and 415 contractor positions will be cut. You can read the A-B InBev memo announcing the layoffs. The company wants to complete all job cuts by the end of the year. Anheuser-Busch employs about 6,000 in St. Louis.
