What should the Weatherbird say about lead?
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
The Weatherbird is hitting second-hand stores — great for bargains, but bad when it comes to items that contain lead and phthalates, a chemical used in some pliable plastics. On Feb. 10, a new law will require stringent testing and certification standards for all products sold to children 12 and younger for safe lead and phthalates levels. The law, which is meant to protect children, could also force some shops to close.
