Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon was sworn in Monday near the Capitol steps by Chief Supreme Court Justice Denvir Stith. In his inauguration speech, Nixon called for unity and a “new day for Missouri.”

Why no cynical choice? Nixon’s administration had already said that in his first public event he wouldn’t be taking questions. Despite his posturing today, it’s just going to be more of the same. When will people wise up and put a viable third party on its feet in this country?

I’m not a big fan of Nixon, but I think Blunt was/is an absolute loser. Good riddance to him…..worst Gov. in Missouri’s history.

You either are not from MO or too young to remember either Joe Teasdale or Bob Holden. Blunt was not good, but, not as bad as either of these two.
