Will stimulus provide a kick in the banks?

Today’s a big day: Not only is it the Weatherbird’s 108th birthday, but it’s also the 1-year anniversary of this blog. Birthday wishes (and cupcakes) are always welcome.
Now to the important things: Today’s Bird line. The way things stood last night, the House and the Senate had to meet to today to try to find a compromise between their stimulus bill plans. Not long ago, Sen. Harry Reid announced they’d done just that.
