Big Bend overpass closure prompts the Weatherbird to say …
Birds fly. People drive. Highway 40 is about to provide another reason for area drivers to envy the Weatherbird’s wings. Two of the busiest north-south routes crossing the interstate are about to be out of service at the same time.
On June 1, the Big Bend Boulevard bridge over Highway 40 is scheduled to close. For as long as three months, that closure will overlap with the Hanley Road bridge shutdown, pushing more traffic onto other roads.
