AmerenUE is asking Missouri regulators for another rate hike, less than six months after the company raised electric rates by $163 million. This time, the utility company wants to increase rates by 18 percent, or $402 million, to help compensate for higher fuel prices, financing costs and reliability improvements.

Agree john c…. Ameren is the biggest ripoff company I’ve ever seen.

Don’t forget about the big Ameren sign in left centerfield at Busch Stadium and all the politicians they bribe.

Look at bill 357 passed by Missouri Senate to increase AmerenUE’s revenue. I am a senior on a fixed income, how will this benefit me? Write all our senators and congressmen, I even wrote the president. We must stop AmeronUE from sneaking in the back door and always taking from us, especially when the economy is in such a bad state, people are starving, loosing homes and seeing for the first time they can’t have it all. This generation has been an I want it now, it’s owed to me and I deserve it for nothing group. Somebody forgot to raise these people with values, integerity and consideration. I am sick of paying for lazy good for nothing people who have lived off our tax dollars all their life. Make it stop, nobody ever gave me anything free, I worked fot it and my family has values and we don’t buy on credit cards, we wait until we can afford what we want, we just take care of our needs first.
