Mark Buehrle is pitcher perfect
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Thursday’s White Sox-Tampa Bay game is one for the history books. Sox pitcher Mark Buehrle — a St. Charles native — pitched the first perfect game in the major leagues since 2004. Buehrle threw 116 pitches, retiring all 27 batters he faced. He was only on the mound for 32 minutes.
Buehrle already had a no-hitter on his resume. The Sox won the game, 5-0.
