As predicted last week, there’s a new plan for Ballpark Village. And it’s a lot like the old plan for Ballpark Village. If all goes well, construction should start early next year.

The fiasco that is Ballpark Village is “very close.” Again. The city and developers are expected to make an announcement next week. Meanwhile the 2009 All-Star Game, which will be in our fair city, keeps getting closer.

Downtown St. Louis is enjoying a period of revitalization, but north St. Louis has not been so fortunate. Most recently, it looks like a 2-year-old, $34 million plan to renovate or build more than 450 houses in the Ville won’t happen.…

Three months in, construction on Highway 40 is on schedule, and the Weatherbird’s keeping an eye on the project to make sure it stays that way.
