Bottle Rockets seeking fans’ help on tour
Kevin C. Johnson

Bottle Rockets are hoping you’ll help them decide what to perform on its 15th anniversary tour, which begins Saturday, May 3 at Blueberry Hill’s Duck Room (it’s already sold out).

The St. Louis rockers are letting fans devise set lists for the 15 shows that’ll make up their 15th anniversary tour. Set lists can be submitted to www.undertowmusic.com/messageboards.

Set lists must be submitted to the message boards, and no set lists are to be submitted on Myspace. Message board members can post up to three different set lists.

Set lists should include 20 Bottle Rocket songs and one cover song. Over 100 set lists have been submitted so far.

The set lists are bit of a larger promotion, a Bottle Rockets for Life prize package involving the Bottle Rockets giving away a $1,500 custom built Creston Golden Rocket guitar. Bottle Rockets leader Brian Henneman will play the guitar at all 15 shows before giving it away at the last show during a live webcast.

That prize package also includes all Bottle Rockets albums past and future, T-shirts, and free tickets to any Bottle Rockets concert for life. Each fan whose set list is played gets 20 entries in the contest.

Bottle Rockets are working on a new Bloodshot Records CD for a 2009 release.
