Old hip-hop duo EPMD takes on the Old Rock House

I’d forgotten how great ’80s New York rap duo EPMD actually was until I began loading about a couple dozen EPMD songs into my iPod last month on a whim.

Imagine my surprise at learning shortly afterward the seemingly dormant duo of Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith would perform at 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Old Rock House as part of Scion Live Metro St. Louis. Also performing are Connie Price & the Keystones featuring Percee P, with a DJ set by DJ Haul.

Count me in to see what the “You Gots to Chill” guys have in store. Their classic “Strictly Business” and “Unfinished Business” CDs have truly stood the test of time.
