Parrotheads’ “pre-show festivities” start early
There’s no time to waste for Jimmy Buffett fans looking to kick off their “pre-show festivities” before the tropical-flavored singer’s big sold-out 8 p.m. April 24 show at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. That’s why the parking lot will open early at 3 p.m. that day.
This is good news for Parrothead fans not only because of traffic congestion concerns, but because they surely want to get those “pre-show festivities” going good and early.
Pre-show festivities — wonder what that kind of thing might entail.

Kevin C. Johnson has covered the St. Louis' music and nightlife scene for the past decade.
crazy parrotheads will converge on the parking lot dressed in bazzar garb driving their vehicles adorned with tropical oddities and set up unconventional machines that dispense lime-colored alcohol concoctions
Aging men and women with ridiculous shirts and white socks will relive the seventies complete with smokeable mood enhancers .
…for as much as you pay for tickets to see Jimmy Buffett, there better be some “pre-show festivities” included. I’m sorry, but I can’t see paying these outrages ticket prices to see this guy! Let’s face it, Jimmy Buffett is not the same guy he used to be…..and he sold out his carefree, laidback, beachbum image…….so, he could bend his fans over with his outrageous ticket prices.
I’ll gladly pass on this show, suckers…..
to Brotha D……
I understand…..its called being a tight-ask, cheap, lifeless frump. Wait around for the free concerts at the 4th of July or the marching bands at the christmas parade.
Get a life before its too late.
The venue is letting Parrotheads party in the parking lot before the show??? I can’t see that happening. No one is allowed to party in the parking lot before a show at Riverport.
