Story of the Year lets it “Black Swan” fly today
If you’re a supporter of St. Louis rock, whatever you do this week don’t forget to pick up Story of the Year’s new CD “The Black Swan,” out today on Epitaph Records.
I’ve been sitting with the CD for several weeks now, and I contend it’s the band’s most potent release, which says a lot. “Wake Up” deserves an immediate listen, as does “Choose Your Fate,” “Welcome to Our New War,” “Message to the World,” and “Terrified,” a true Story of the Year ballad.
I also checked out the guys at rehearsal just before they went on tour, and the band’s execution of the new material was crispy hot. It’ll be great watching them unleash it at the Pageant tonight during its CD release party that also features Madina Lake, Josephine Collective, and Brookroyal.
Tickets to the concert would sell even without the $1.05 ticket price (if you pre-ordered the CD at Vintage Vinyl).
Story of the Year is hitting hard and they have a lot to say. Now it’s our turn to listen.
