Velvet Revolver’s loss is Stone Temple Pilots gain, along with ours.
Rock singer Scott Weiland, who was either booted from or bolted from Velvet Revolver, is back where he belongs in Stone Temple Pilots. And you can catch him with that outfit June 8 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater.
You can’t get tickets yet; the show’s not even officially announced by the venue. But the date and venue are on the tour’s schedule.
And that’s why I can already hear “Big Bang Baby,” “Vaseline,” and “Interstate Love Song” ringing in my ears.

AWESOME! STP was one of the best rock bands of the 90’s. Scott needs to realize that it’s never gonna get better than playing with the The DeLeo brothers. I’ll take STP over Velvet Revolver any day! Can’t wait for this show…

Oh yeah! Purple was a GREAT album. I gotta knock the dust off that one, cause it’s been awhile since i’ve listened to that one. STP Unplugged (MTV) was such a cool live performance, too….and it makes you realize how bada$$ they were. You could tell Scott was on the sauce….but, he and the band sounded magnificent. Speaking of magnificent…..remember Scott’s side project, The Magnificent Bastards? The song, Mockingbird Girl, still rocks hard! Check it out.
I heard something about the singer of some ny band mean venus was going to sing for velvet revolvor. any truth to this
YUP! I heard the same thing about the mean venus dude. went and checked them out on myspace. i can totally see why revolver wanted him. definitely fits in perfectly with tthe guys. cant wait for new music!
