Concert update: Solange Knowles added to Raheem DeVaughn Pageant show
Solange Knowles, Beyonce’s younger sister, will open for Raheem DeVaughn at 8 p.m. May 31 at the Pageant. Tickets are $37.50, on sale now at the Pageant box office and at Ticketmaster outlets.
Some wondered if new singer Chrisette Michele might open for DeVaughn, as she is on select dates, but Knowles got the gig here.

well, im sure a lot of people arent happy about this…people were looking forward to hearing Chrisette, we only got a taste of her when she appeared with Musiq at Live on the Levee. Raheems people could have found a BETTER replacement than Solange!
This a a disappointment…being from dallas i wanted the same great show that my fellow texans got recently…what does she (Solange) even sing? I am throughly disappointed in whomever decided to book this one.

So Solange got the gig here…How unfortunate for us. I can’t even believe that she is even considered an appropriate replacement for Chrisette Michele. Who is Solange, other than Beyonce’s sister? Do we really know her songs…better yet…is she really a complement–more like a complaint to Mr. DeVaughn’s highly anticipated performance. She’s a dud! She looks cute though but I bet she will be rocking a horrible number or two from her sister and momma’s House of Dereon collection.
