Dave Matthews Band is first Busch show…just don’t tell Dave
We all know Dave Matthews Band is the first concert at the new Busch Stadium June 7, but the funny thing is the band doesn’t know it yet.
Or at least the band didn’t know until band violinist Boyd Tinsley was asked about it in an interview recently.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t know we would be the first, but I’m glad to find out now. It’s very cool to get that opportunity, a huge honor,” says Tinsley, who adds “the rest of the guys won’t know until they get there.”
He says this is only their second time with such an honor; a couple of years ago they were the first concert at an indoor arena at the University of Virginia.
