Nelly’s “Brass Knuckles” pushed back again

Nelly’s needing more time to spit-shine his “Brass Knuckles.” His already-delayed upcoming CD now moves from June 24 to Aug. 19. It was originally scheduled for release last year.  

During the wait, Nelly will tease fans with two new singles – Stepped On My J’z” featuring Jermaine Dupri and Ciara, and “Body on Me” featuring Akon and Ashanti.

The songs follow his current “Party People” featuring Fergie, which peaked prematurely on the charts.

wow, the cd is taking forever to come out. delays after delays. anyway, both of the songs that were mentioned above are great songs. “stepped on my j’s” is probably one of the best songs from nelly and “body on me” is one of the softer songs that nelly always brings to the table.

Four singles released from the cd without its release, i wonder if the delay means Nelly will be altering the sound of the CD. After the success of “Party People” could he be going after an even more pop sound? neither of the “new songs” are all that special…

“Stepped On My J’z”…..is looking to catch the buzz “Air Force Ones” created, while “Body On Me” is…well, screaming for the pop charts.

Interesting to see what the full cd will be like.

Actually, “Party People” wasn’t even that successful as a single. Yea it was noticed and was decent but it didn’t chart that well at all. Ciara has the magic touch and every song she’s featured in becomes a top 10 hit. Hopefully her magic will do the same with “Stepped On My J’z” and save his album. The song iz hott, so it should be fine.

Word is that the album has been pushed back again, this time for release Sept. 16th.
