Beefing with your parents? MTV may be looking for you…and your parents
MTV is looking to add some St. Louis flavor to a new show.
The cable network is seeking “outgoing, well spoken” young people between the ages of 16 and 19, along with their parents, hoping to cast St. Louis families in an upcoming show.
The parents and their offspring should have conflicting views on sex, dating, and relationships.
To be considered, a photo of the child and the parents along with contact information must be sent to talkwithmyfolks@mtvstaff.com, or call 212-654-6996. Also include a description of those contrasting views.
The show will feature an expert who will offer support and advice to families in a positive way. Thankfully this won’t be a Jerry Spring redo.
Any story selected receives a $1,000 compensation.

Kevin C. Johnson has covered the St. Louis' music and nightlife scene for the past decade.
