bare3.jpg St. Louis headbangers Bare Knuckle Conflict came up with a cool concept for the video to the title track of its “Bloodshovel” CD. The metal band filmed in the historically haunted Lemp Mansion.

“It was nice to be a part of that history,” says singer Josh Whitt. The fact a ghost hunter was doing her thing in the attic made it even more interesting. We don’t know if she found anything. But we wound up pissing her off because we were loud. But we thought it was cool she was even there.”

The CD release party for “Bloodshovel” is Friday night at Pop’s (doors are at 7 p.m.) Also performing are Shattermask, Freak Accident, Inmidian, Chapel Perilous, and Minderaser. Tickets are $10-$12.

Whitt says fans can expect “a visual show. We’re not one of those bands you just watch and stand there. We got stage props and interaction with the crowd,” he says. “It’ll be non-stop high energy, with not a lot of down time. There’s lots of jumping around. This is high school fight music.”
