who cares! this is a group that gave exclusive rights to wal-mart. a company that has been PROVEN to discriminate against women, forced employees to work off the clock, used illegal aliens to clean stores. the eagles disgust me! it is all about greed to them. i fervently wish that everyone involved in the group and who had a hand in this wal-mart decision goes completely bankrupt. maybe then they can work at wal-mart! to all the eagles members and their record company, you are scum sucking greedy pigs!

All right!! I can’t wait to see the Eagles!! I’ll be waiting by the phone to call in to buy tickets as soon as they open. As for the Wal-Mart deal, look at the cover for the Eagles new cds…environmentally safe…no plastic. And sure they want to make money, doesn’t everyone? Me? I want to hear fantastic music and watch incredible musicians…the Eagles.

Don Henley - who saved Waldon Pond and is an active environmentalist - during an interview: “So Wal-Mart came to us, and they made us a really good offer. And they told us about their green initiative, and how they’re trying to make their company more ecologically responsible. And we were impressed by their programs in that regard, and what they’re trying to do. And a lot of our fans are customers of Wal-Mart, so we thought it was a good fit.”

When was the last time you shopped at Wal-Mart?

I agree with the comments made by Dan Hopkins regarding the Eagles. I can not support The Eagles because of their using the exclusive Wally World deal. I boycott that store and all who support it.

It proves they’re more capitalist than lefty-leaners. Of course they’re the originators of today’s country music and its the only place other than classic rock they’ll get played on. And both groups of those fans tend to shop at Wal-Mart…

Funny, I just went to Amazon.com, typed in Eagles in the search box and viola - Long Road Out of Eden popped up. Not Walmart. Back in the day when music making was about music making, the Eagles may not have made this deal. Everything changes. It’s(maybe always) been about the almighty buck. Just sticks out much more now. At least you know that THIS purchase from Walmart is not going overseas or below the border.

Two bands, The Eagles and Journey, have chosen to sell their latest release exclusively through their websites and WalMart/Sam’s Club. As a result, it seems radio refuses to broadcast their music and anti-WalMart activists are boycotting the bands. Sales seem to be going well and both bands will have events here in the St. Louis area. I already have my ticket for Journey and will buy the best seat I can afford for The Eagles. I’ve only waited 40 years to see them…

I have the certain opinion that despite the protests and lack of radio play, there won’t be many vacant seats at the concert. For me, it isn’t about the marketing, it’s about the music.

The only way I’d pay to see this show is if they only played Joe Walsh songs. Then the other 3 members of the band could go back to being Joe’s backup singers - which is what they were in the first place.
