Some things sure can sweep me off my feet
Burning down the house

This will be a boring show, for sure. Just like Todd Rungren last week, doing his entire new album (which wasn’t even out yet) while the audience sat there confused and bored. David did the same thing at The Pageant a few years ago. Not for that price folks. No way. Thanks.

For those prices, I can get a really bottle of wine, throw on my Talking Heads and David Byrne CDs and rent “Stop Making Sense” and still have money left over. Sorry, Dave.

Talk about clueless. Well, thanks for leaving more tickets for people who appreciate how brilliant this pair is. This is a “once in a lifetime” experience–the pageant is one thing, but the brilliance of the Fox Theatre with the dramatic voice of David Byrne will be an amazing show!! Glad I got front and center seats!

I was at the David Byrne’s Pageant show that Pamela Lynn is referring to and I thought it was once of the most creative perfomances of the year. He played many of his old standards in a very refreshing style, plus some new things. He has also perfomed at the Sheldon and again an amazing gig. It goes to show how musical perceptions are quite different. I’ll be there at the Fox and hope he does include some new music. Ya can’t live in the past.

I love David, but those ticket prices are unreasonable. I wish music could be accessible to people who don’t make a lot of money. What a shame for many. I agree with Kayte…I’ll stay home and enjoy on the stereo.
