The best CDs, songs and concerts of 2008…so far

Music sales continued to fall during the first half of 2008 — no surprise there. But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a great time for new music, songs and concerts.

In no particular order, here is the music that moved me most January-June, though I wonder how many of these names will hold up by year’s end.

And don’t even think about looking for Usher, Leona Lewis or Panic at the Disco on any of these lists.

i cant front, N.E.R.D. is getting a LOT of play on the Zune!!

Their concert, turned me into a fan!!

Hate i missed John Mayer and Sharon Jones….im sure both were great!

Did get to enjoy…Erykah, the Roots, Jill Scott

Need to check out Vampire Weekend, Estelle, Moby and Death Cab For Cutie.

Kevin, Kevin, Kevin…..you overlooked one of the best concerts in St. Louis for 2008….the one….the only…..RUSH. Amazing how so much great music and sound can come from just 3 people.
