Concert announcement: Maxwell at the Fox Theatre
R&B singer Maxwell, long absent from the music scene, embarks on a new tour Oct. 8 in Boston that stops at the Fox Theatre Oct. 15, according to his touring schedule.
The Fox has not yet announced this show.
The tour, Maxwell Live ‘08, is described as a pre-party tour celebration for his upcoming release “Black Summers’ Night.”

I heard Black Summers Night is a three cd set, Black - Summers- and Night. Is that true?
That’s what they say. I’ll believe it when I have it in my hands. Who releases a 3CD set in 2008 anyway?

Wow, a tour before the album?! Guess he’s testing the water. There’s definitely still a demand for his music. I’m still playing the last two cds.
3cd set? Really? Is Maxell really that bad, I respect him but a 3CD set while gas is this high and itunes for 99cents may not be a good idea
I heard the 3CD set was gonna be released one CD at a time. Not sure about the time length between the releases.
Why SHOULDN’T he release whatever he wants? We get so few CD’s from him in the 1st place, and there is not many good R&B crooners like him around, so heck if he wants to put a 10 disk set out, I’ll buy it. Gas prices & iTunes pricing is no excuse not to get music from this reclusive & polished artist. Step up people
Wow! I remember when he was at the Fox back in the day. He wore that white suit and was just hot. I can’t wait to welcome him back. Who cares how many discs are included, I for one, am just glad he’s well and back to business.
