Concert update: Go-Go’s concert at Lumiere opens to public
A private Go-Go’s concert, scheduled to be the first concert at the new Lumiere Theatre at Lumiere Place on Sept. 4, is now public.
And that’s not all. Shows on Sept. 5-7 have been added. All shows in the intimate venue are at 7 p.m., and ticket prices are $40.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Ticketmaster outlets including the one at Lumiere Place, www.ticketmaster.com, and by calling 314-421-4400.
The show opened up because of public demand.

The Go-Go’s were hot with WE GOT THE BEAT and VACATION. Lost them after that but loved some Belinda Carlisle and her solo hit MAD ABOUT YOU. Glad to read that there are enough fans out there to demand (and be actually heard) to warrant a full three-day concert gig. Seriously? Wow…those are some vocal fans for sure.
But will they be just as hot in September? I heard that Carlisle was touring with Human League and ABC and that Jane Wiedlin is spending time with her ailing mother. So will either of these two staples be here? Will it be just a fun?
Wow. The Go-Go’s. Yeah, that’ll rock.
Do you think the folks at Lumiere read the comments from the first story and changed the plan or was it that they couldn’t give away the tickets?
Good thing they forced Mississippi Nights into submission otherwise they both would have been competing for such current and upcoming artists like The Go-Go’s. Also, the Landing really felt like it was missing just one more parking lot before it was viable. This is a total joke and another example of St. Louis not “getting it”.
